Nestled in the breathtaking San Juan mountain range, Ouray boasts the world class ice climbing park within Box Canyon, walking distance from the hotel. Eat at local restaurants, soak in scenic natural hot springs, and learn to ice climb.
(DAY 1) Fly into Gunnison Colorado, rent a car and drive to Ouray, CO. Stay at local accommodations, eat, shop, soak in hot springs.
(Day 2) Intro to ice climbing in Box Canyon all day, soak in hot springs.
(Day 3) Bigger ice climbs, more soaking
(Day 4) Drive back to Gunnison, DIA then home.

Hike one of the West elk’s most prominent mountains Teocalli at 13,208 feet, rock climb and mountain bike in the high mountain plateaus of Gunnison’s Hartman’s rocks, a destination for the serious mountain biker. Attend June’s fat tire bike week, where races, rodeos, stunts, and parties happen in the town famous for giving birth to mountain biking. Hike teocalli on the last day to ensure proper acclimatization. This trips is 4 days 3 nights.
